So io9 keeps running stories claiming Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse have been cancelled.
I wouldn't shed a tear to see TSCC taken off the air to make room for something better, but knowing FOX, they'd probably replace it with reality TV or something similarly banal.
I'd have more mixed feelings about Dollhouse because the last episode was intriguing, but I won't be shocked when the show finally gets the axe.
Why is it so hard to air original and well-written science fiction shows? Really? Why? Why do so many science fiction shows have to fall back to faux-spirituality and some kind of mysticism instead of exploring an actual science fiction storyline?
And why the hell can't these shows have good writing, compelling characters, and decent plots?
BSG was on a roll for a while, then... well, I've ranted enough on that topic.
All the networks seem to be able to do these days is remakes. More Stargate the umteenth stupid spinoff or Star Trek: Even More Banal or Remake of Bad Show from Whenever.
I mean seriously. Who thought it was a good idea to remake Knight Rider?
Bleah.
