Okay, time to comment

Yes, I saw it.

I am, of course, talking about the new Star Wars trailer.

Nice scenery. Intriguing characters. Loved the old character popping in.

Overall, I have no high hopes for this film. It's clearly going to rehash as much as it can get away with. Between that and the bad taste of the prequel trilogy... I can't get too excited.

The fun never stops

I've got a nice dose of cosmic ennui this weekend. After several days of a cold and severe allergies, the game I was supposed to run this weekend was cancelled (my fault), then the backup game was cancelled. Now I have severe plumbing issues in my apartment and am anxiously awaiting someone to come fix them before things get ugly.

I pissed some deity off nicely.

Friday Bits

I haven't really been in the mindset of blogging. Makes me feel bad to neglect this thing after all the ridiculous nonsense I've posted before.

I continue to have credit card misadventures. The less said about them, the better. I think I have a way around the problem, but the solution has been imperfect so I continue to explore my options.

I've started "The Shadow of What was Lost" by James Islington. Interesting world and magic system. I'm engaged in the story thus far.

Re-watched "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies". It's got some video-game-like fun, but it's appalling what savage abuse they did to Tolkien's story.

With California's drought continuing to be crazy, I'm trying to remember all those tricks from my childhood during the last big drought. Not fun. Time for a rain dance.

Started watching "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." again after missing a few eps. The show's starting to hit a rut, but I do like elements of it. Go Inhumans!

I've fallen out of the habit of watching "Arrow" and "The Flash". Caught some eps this week. It's nice to see little has changed. They're still entertaining trash. Can't say the same for "Gotham", but that's mainly 'cause I think I can't get my head around the heavy tweaks to the Batman mythology in the show. I don't think there needs to be a "Batman as a tween-ager" show. Ever.
