If I had a mutant superpower (aside from abysmally-bad timing), it would be the ability to break sunglasses.

It's astounding how many I can go through in a short period of time.

I must own twenty at any one time. I have them squirreled away in all sorts of places for when one breaks.

Oh, and the ones that do? Those are the ones that fit well and afford good peripheral vision. The crap ones? Those survive a little longer.

Interestingly-enough, my actually glasses (when I wear them) have survived hell and high water. My mutant powers apparently only apply to sunglasses.

Handy to have focus, I guess.
