So today is (was?) H.P. Lovecraft's birthday.

That, in and of itself, isn't really worthy of note. Lovecraft was an insane bastard. That said, he came up with some really cool concepts (*cough* Cthulhu *cough*).

By strange coincidence, today is also the birthday of my good friend Mackie, who shares much of the twisted imagination of Lovecraft but not sharing Lovecraft's more negative personality traits.

So, with that backhanded praise, happy birthday Mackie! Ia Ia Mackie Ftagn!
