I lifted these off of Neatorama:
* Prepositions are not words to end sentences with.
* And don’t start a sentence with a conjunction.
* Exaggeration is a billion times worse than understatement.
* Do not be redundant; do not use more words than necessary; it’s highly superfluous.
* One should NEVER generalize.
I'm pretty sure I've managed to violate every one of these a few times over the course of the day. Given that I write for a living, that's probably not a great thing.
